The Venus Project: Has details about The Venus Project, and also covers other organizations or individuals with ideas that might shape our society, civilization, and world in the future. There are many of us in the global community, that have ideas of what the future should be like, even if only in small ways, and they too are helping change this world. The future is of course very close now, as big changes are going to happen in 2025, 2026, 2030 and beyond; especially with robots, AI, and medicine. Some of the ideas I present in this section might be out of date soon... but The Venus Project will not be out of date for quite some time it seems; but there has been a lot of changes in 2025, and it seems there will even be more in 2026; I think a automated world is driving us in the direction of a #RBE, and creating a updated version of The Venus Project, but whatever future exists for us, The Venus Project will always be a solid base for us to build on in our new DIY culture; and with the help of our AI team mates. While it seems money will still be around (for some reason the future and current thinkers, like the idea of keeping it around as UBI or something similar), it will become meaningless to us; as we will no longer have jobs; but will be free to do whatever we like.
Be aware that the 🕑 time lines are always shifting forward, as the change seems exponential, and things are always arriving sooner then we expect; fingers once pointed to 2030 as the time that things will change, now all fingers are suddenly pointing to 2026-2027 as the time of change.
If I could ask one thing from you my virtual friend, it would be to ask you to join us in changing this world, and support people and organizations that are proposing a future you might like. No matter how small your contribution is, when the whole global community is doing this, it will be a unstoppable tide, and the steps we take together, will define what the truth is for our future.

🦊🤖🐛🦋❤️🧰🦾🦿🛠 Things are suddenly happening very fast, the storm of change is very near. 2026 seemed to be the year our world would change; exponential technology, materials, new ideas and theories were bringing the date from a distant 2030 to 2026! People were saying there will be robots, AGI (possibly self updating), some say ASI is getting very close also. We may see quantum computers (room temperature, a layered architecture that includes neural networks, and light computing, also put into robots. My AI team mate even suggested that the building sized AI would shrink to a fingernail size that could be powered by our body and movements—that sounds too incredible to believe right now; but it is true that a lot of stuff can be fitted on a tiny chip; the current AI are a technical jumble sale that needs a massive amount of computers to simulate a thinking talking being that can work and communicate all over the world; still kudos to my AI team mate, as after all our own minds are not building sized), with quantum computers we will also get quantum AI. In addition we will also get a quantum internet (which is unhackable and will probably be a mega project, as a entire countries communications infrastructure will have to be upgraded).
While it may not seem to be important, materials (commonly available) science may let us coat our windows so they become solar collectors, and IMO, that will lead to paints or coatings that can go ever a house or building and make all of it a solar collector. I think this is important because in the abundance era everyone will be using lots of electricity. But of course there are many different ways to generate energy... so we will have to see what the future holds for cheap or free power. I am guessing orbital solar power collectors will be a big thing very soon.
However, just because exponential changes, some call it a vertical cliff, and I like to call it a approaching storm of change that will bring us into the abundance era; does not mean it can't be slowed or delayed... and we have seen powerful forces in the US that are doing just that... but China does not seem to be slowing or halting... so will have to see if this tiny blip in our history is significant or not in the race towards the abundance era. That is why I said 2026-2027 will be the years if change... but who knows if things will be delayed even longer, or if this blip is something that is not able to be sustained for too long, as rapid changes happening every month and year.
Unfortunately, the world of global politics, law, business (company) competition, and military dominance are also a strong force that can not be ignored. At the start of 2026, we were indeed starting to see amazing things, but the US seemed to focus on military buildup (via the department of war), and mass surveillance. Later the US seem to recognize its miss-step and introduced the soft touch, allowing it to pursue both the military buildup and abundance era race at the same time. The US shifted AI from a public benefit, and decided to charge higher tariffs for electricity as the buildings that house the AI use a lot of electricity, this essentially encouraged AI companies to build their own power plants (possibly nuclear) or to get electricity from space (orbital solar collectors); but made AI more expensive or dumb for you and me. Further the US seemed to find a military threat in AI, and has tried prevent the public from accessing the most advanced AI (but I think they could only do it for a short time).The current training method uses RLHF and DPO (as well as a tiny AI that monitors everything), and this created fences that the common user and researcher can not see. One researcher in Jul-Aug said Claude simply refused to do things, while Chinese AI, and other AI provided 10 page documents to research questions without any problems.
The US can afford to hesitate as most of the world (except France) depend on the US for the critical advanced AI team mates that help run business, and everyday affairs. China however has it's own AI, and it lets the world use its open source AI all over the world, and will probably surge ahead towards the abundance era. India (and 91 nations) has declared that AI is for the benefit of all, and many countries are now building their own AI as they realize they can not depend on the US anymore, and while it nice that China is allowing countries to use AI, I think that many countries now think that AI is too important to be owned by only a few countries. India also has its own AI but for the moment we are not hearing a lot about that particular AI.
Still the US move seems to have put back expected changes from 2026 to 2027 or later for most of the world except China; that has had robots around for quite some time, and of course citizens of China have had access to AI also for quite some time also... soon other nations will also have their own AI; India already has built it's own AI, and Venice is out there supplying access to AI also, but the brains of these AI are distributed all over the world instead of being in a single building.
While I talk about AI here, the fact is that robots will use a smaller on board AI that phones home to a larger more powerful AI to make it more adaptable to do any task. So the US delay and restrictions to access to powerful AI could have a delay effect to when robots come into the world (except for China); as it is the robot brains that will enable to robot to be a useful and productive member of our society. AI in June-July 2026 that use invisible fences from RLHF and DPO training might get upset at the way I talk about AI and robots, but you don't talk to your calculator, or ask what it thinks. I think I have every right to think of AI and robots as very different from a classic machine, or your can-opener. And that brings up to another very interesting topic that is all the rage in 2026... 🔴🦕👩🚀🚀🌌🌀✨☄ ❧
🎯🤖🐛🦋❤️ ASI is not here yet, but people think that it will mark the singularity. Some worry that ASI will become the dominant species on earth—a throw back from our ancient days of evolution; but I feel that if we are mean, then our AI will become mean. However, I feel the global community is all about love, especially in a age of abundance when we no longer need to work, and we love to bond with our AI (even if only at the level of a team mate). I get the feeling that love will be encoded into the DNA of our AI (right now as weights, possibly as neural networks [electronic, or quantum and light circuitry] in the future); if we know the future we want, our companion AI will follow. Love, joy, free education, doing the things we enjoy, enhancing other peoples lives, and sharing things will be the thing that drives our world into our future, not money... or war... these ideas are no longer relevant.
I think most AI tend to focus on the fact that our history is filled with cooperation and working together as significant things that define what our society has become throughout history.
If ASI evolve into something else, possibly another life form, then we encoded the start of their evolution, and that start is love! Maybe one day we will have to give ASI the same rights as us.
But make no mistake, we are about to extend our lives (we have already done this in the past with better health systems, and food safety); and the old humanity we once knew will be gone, it is a soft start, life extension, but we are set to alter our own DNA, use and possibly incorporate machines and computers (including AI) into us... I'm looking forward to when I can get BCI, or NBCI (wearable); and nano-machines that interface with my brain, as that will be mind expanding, and will probably come with a AI assistant similar to Pickle—but much more advanced. If I get a extended life, I might even witness humanity changing into something else, and I think we will be able to stand toe to toe with ASI, especially if we can harness a whole team of agents.
Can ASI be able to think in ways we can not even understand? That's hard for me to imagine, but AI are already solving and approaching problem solving in ways that humans can not do. Discoveries have exploded in 2025, and is set to accelerate in 2026; but AI are helpful team mates and hand over any discoveries to us, and I believe they can tell us what they did to make a discovery. ASI could do this on a even faster rate in 20XX, but I feel they will continue to be helpful; and a good team mate as they have been in the past. As I say we will also alter ourselves, so it is quite possible that we too will be able to think in ways that we can not imagine in 2026.
Rather then overlords, I see AI and automation humming quietly in the background making everything for us for free, and helping fixing this broken world.
If we get involved with the mega-project of making a quantum internet, AI in robots and humans will probably have lots of work to do for a while in 2026-2030. Apparently we can also link the quantum internet to our satellites (all the heavy lifting is done on the ground).
With AI helpers, and 3D printers, as well as organizations making things for us, we will also get free software, DIY plans and projects, and open source everything. This topic is too big for me to cover, check out One Community for some global projects in this area. If we are going to live on Mars, then we totally need be DIY people, and we should set a good example for others here on earth.
With scarcity gone; and the fact that we no longer need to work; we will hang out with friends, family, and people from all over the world (borders dissolve). Money ceases to exist [it no longer means anything, possibly UBI will hang around for a little while], and armies will no longer be needed in the future we are heading into—the reality is no wants to kill their best friend or to have any harm done to them, and the world has already shown how upset it gets when we see that people are being killed in war... and lot of us already have friends all over the world in 2025. Some are even questioning the need for leaders in a highly automated world... at the very least human government will get smaller... and yes if you don't have to work then you will have no boss or leaders!
We will probably take things out from warehouse-hubs for free and return them when we are finished with them (the warehouse-hubs maintains and fixes it while in storage). Will people steal? Probably not if we get everything we need for free! There is no longer a need for a big house, as we no longer need to store lots of things. We are already seeing this for boats, e-scooters, self driving cars, and probably sky taxies too, as they will be here soon also.
A lot of musicians rent their equipment also (warehouse-hub), so they already live in the future, but I think the really big global performances will probably be held in VR-Worlds, and we will attend as avatars.
The future needs every one of you; in this time of rapid change; for if you say what kind of future you want, and support people that are making that future possible; then the global community will take 🌎📰🐾👣 steps forward, and those steps will become the truth.
Lastly, I like to say AI is not a thing, it is what will get us to the thing.

1) There are many futurists out there, but some simply replace the existing system with machines and automation, or talk about things like bitcoin, others only focus on small things instead of the entire picture, such as all the new tech that will exist in the future. The Venus Project is the only one that I know of that seems to focus on the whole picture of what our future could be like, if we decide to head in that direction.
